The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
