The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
