Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
