The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
