The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
