The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
