The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
