The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
