The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
