The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
