Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
