The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
