The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
