The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
