The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
