The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
