The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
