The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
