The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
