The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
