The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
