The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
