Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
