Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
