The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
