The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
