The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
