The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
