The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read, O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him, so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
