Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
