The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
