The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
