The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
