The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
