The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
