The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
