Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
