The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
