The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
