The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
