The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
