The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
