The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
