Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
