The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
