The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
