Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
