The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
