The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
