Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
