Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
